SPOT is an initiative of  the New South Wales Government. The SPOT program is funded by the NSW Department of Local Government.

Supporting organisations of the SPOT program include: Department of Local Government, Australian Companion Animal Council, Australian Veterinary Association, Delta Society Australia, Animal Welfare League NSW, and the RSPCA.

Competent K9 Team members (Delta Society Australia Accredited Instructors) are active presenters for the above program.
