beginnings dog camp

Sat 8th - Sun 9th May, 2021

Let the adventure begin...

If your family has recently added a four legged friend with a wet nose, this camp is for you.

The focus of Beginnings Dog Camp is all about strengthening the connection between you and your dog and being in a shared space that both guides and challenges dogs and their owners, providing ample opportunities for practicing important life skills.

A socialised dog is a happy dog and a happy dog makes a happy family!
This camp gives dogs and people the opportunity to learn how dogs interact with the world (including other dogs, people big and small and different settings) in a controlled environment.

Course facilitators will provide feedback based on how each dog responds to different scenarios and equip owners with skills to enable you and your dog to get the most out of life as a well connected team.

Our activities are based around our camp motto: #PLECC (Play, Learn Explore, Create, Connect). The result is in a cherished experience that is highly valuable for new and seasoned pet dog owners.

All our camps provide a place where people and dogs can enjoy time together.

At Dog Camp Australia we use positive-reinforcement based techniques to help build a happy, trusting relationship with you and your dog. We keep our training methods fun, relaxed and simple. We teach you to teach your dog, so that you and your dog can enjoy the process of learning together, thus creating a strong bond of trust and respect for one another.

Our team includes people who have experience in animal behaviour and training. However rather than attending a dog training class this camp involves mentoring and coaching in a relaxed, fun camp environment that is conducive to learning and simply being in the refreshing company of animals and like minded people.

All our Dog behaviour advisors are qualified dog trainers as well as being members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers Australia (APDTA).
